The student of School of health information management are earnestly waiting to know the result and outcome of the election of the Student Union .
After the election was conducted by Independent Student Electoral Commission (ISEC), in which the election started with accreditation of the voters, confirmation of the registered voters and eventually comes voting. The election started by 10:00am and ended 12:20pm on 30/6/2017, and from the result of the election announced by the ISEC, such has never been recorded in the history of the school.
Their was three (3) candidate for the post of presidency which we all know that the Student Union cannot function or operate without a head. Out of the candidates, a candidate was disqualify after the screening, the question asked by some students are "Why must he be disqualify the second time of  him contesting for a post in the Student Union?" and also "Is it screening before manifesto or other wise?"
The two remaining candidate were voted for by the student but at the end of the election, where students were peacefully ready to hear the ISEC announce the winner, here comes a shocking and surprised letter written and signed by the other contestant expressing his gratitude for the trust, support and believe his followers had in him, and also informing them about him stepping down of the post due to some stated reasons in the letter sent to the ISEC and a copy to the Student Affairs Officer by 11:50am. An interview with one of the student after the congress was that " In this case should the election continue?"
At the end of the congress, the Student Affairs Officer of the school hereby announce the presidential aspirant Mr. Hamid Mustapha as the winner.
