Intelligence alone is not enough in Leadership. Miss Ilesanmi

Interview with miss Omotunde Ilesanmi

Good afternoon ma, can we meet you ma

Afternoon, My name is Omotunde Ilesanmi, a lecturer in School of Health Information Management, University College Hospital Ibadan.

Thank you ma, SHIMDecides 2017 is in 6 days and two of your students Com Akande Mayowa and Mr Mustapha Hamidu, are vying for the presidency, what can you say about them

Firstly, both of them are wonderful. I will start with Mayowa first, he has always been a student who have a mind of his own, he could be a little bit stubborn but stubbornness can be good and if the stubbornness is converted into something good, you can be stubborn for a very good cause. I like the fact that he is intelligent and because he applied his intelligent practically. Hamid in the other way round is a star student and he has been a student who is after the lecturer’s heart, and he has been a class governor for the past two years, very punctual in all lecture and intelligent and that could work for him, but intelligence alone sometime is not enough she said.

Also, ability to manage people is also important which is very good which i think both of them have. The both of them are very good, and think is going to be an interesting election this time because you are picking a star student against another star student this time. The both of them are star in their own right.

Mayowa is a bit more social than Hamid if i could look at it from that aspect. And Hamid is very calm under pressure which i also think Mayowa is lacking, watching him in class. But whosoever will be picked between both of them will be the student choice and i hope the elected president will not repeat the same mistake of the last Administration instead he will develop on it for something good.

Your advises to the students towards the election

Students should come out in mass and vote this time around because their vote means a lot to the two aspirant and they should vote wisely. Moreover students should not choose base on my friend.

Thank you for your time ma

You are welcome.

I am Fadeyi Magret.

Fatigue in the workplace is an emerging health and safety issue that requires increased understanding of its impact and prevention. With its mandate to improve safety in the Ontario workplace, the Public Services Health and Safety Association ( #PSHSA ) is taking major steps to improve how fatigue will be prevented and handled in the workplace. A link between fatigue and impacts on work performance has been shown and increasingly health care professionals are also taking steps to prevent and address fatigue as part of creating healthy work environments. In addition stress from reduced budgets, staff scheduling and a slowing economy all go towards adding to an already stressful workplace.  The ...

Our major problem has a union is lack of effective communication, he itemized some scenarios that happened in the past executive and all was due to lack of communication. he also said the union is suffering from one team spirit. this was part of the problem the comrade mentioned during his opening speech at the presidential debate. He  said when there is a linkage within the house, anybody can break into the union. Thirdly he said the union lacks transparency in Government. he later explained that when a union is transparent, building a one voice will be easy.  He didn't stop by only itemizing the problem, he also gave the solutions. Firstly getting all students to be in one accord, secondly the union should be transparent and lastly getting information to the student very fast. During the blogspot, where the aspirants...
